New releases for Scopserv

On January 30, 2017, ScopServ will release its official version of new ISO package based on CentOS 6 and upgraded ‘scopserv-reports’ and ‘scopserv-realtime’ packages.

‘scopserv-reports’ and ‘scopserv-realtime’ release 6 packages are highly optimized using a new WebSockets Transport and process raw ACD data to SQL tables.
Upgrading to ‘scopserv-reports’ and ‘scopserv-realtime’ Release 6 packages will require you to manually execute the Queue Log Migration script else post upgrade reporting data will not be processed!

Which installations are involved?

New CentOS 6 installation: no need to run the migration script because the new packages are already included.
Update from CentOS 5 to CentOS 6: installation will require the migration script because the data will be backed up from CentOS 5 and restored on CentOS 6.
Licenses not upgrading to CentOS 6: installation will require to run the migration script because the new ‘scopserv-realtime’ Release 6 package will be part of all new packages starting January 30, 2017.

New client for ScopServ Integrated Services

Located in Johannesburg, South Africa, ScopServ Integrated Services (SSIS) has been a ScopTEL distributor for more than ten years and has entered a special relationship with ScopServ International to be a ScopServ branded partner. SSIS is ScopServ International’s most important partner in the company’s ongoing brand development. SSIS also serves more than twenty-five ScopServ resellers throughout South Africa and supports over seventy-five thousand users. Specializing in VoIP, IP PBX and Call Center Solutions, their success is due to a customer-driven dedicated team, an innovative approach and excellent knowledge of the market.

SSIS recently signed up a new client, Dis-Chem. Since 1978, Dis-Chem Pharmacies have been South Africa’s first choice in Medicine and Healthcare and they have chosen ScopTEL as the platform of choice for their Dis-Chem Direct Call Centre and have agreed to expand into the back office environment with an end result of 2000+ users. Additional expansion including the roll-out of more than 100 retail Dis-Chem stores started in September with the new Distribution Centre in KwaZulu Natal in the Capital City Durban.
